History of the House

The house dates back only to the early 1960's, so certainly isn't very old. We're only the second owners and the original owners are still alive, although living in a residential care home because of their age. We also know that they were childless, so it doesn't appear as though there's been any kind of tragic event that could possibly result in any kind of "presence" in the house. So far, everyone who's been associated with living in the house is still alive.

Previous to the house being built, it was simply a plot of land that remained empty as other houses were built in the surrounding areas and eventually this house was built. It's not like the movie Poltergeist where the area has been built on a former burial site. At least, we hope not!

Seriously, there doesn't seem to be any hint of anything sinister or unhappy happening here, but it doesn't feel good to let our minds wonder too far on this. Thinking about movies like Stir of Echoes isn't good because we start to wonder if we should be digging holes in the basement looking for a body that's been laid beneath the concrete.

We shan't be doing that!

So, we'll continue to investigate and try to figure out why a house like this one could possibly have a haunting.
